You Only Pay for Success: Our Fair Quota Promise

Nobody likes paying for something that did not work. That is why PlantCare has a simple, non-negotiable rule: your daily scan quota is only consumed when an analysis succeeds.

The problem we solved

On most apps with usage limits, a failed attempt still counts against your quota. A blurry photo, a momentary server hiccup, or a bad connection — and you have lost one of your daily scans with nothing to show for it. That is frustrating and unfair.

The problem we solved

On most apps with usage limits, a failed attempt still counts against your quota. A blurry photo, a momentary server hiccup, or a bad connection — and you have lost one of your daily scans with nothing to show for it. That is frustrating and unfair.

How our quota works

Pre-Check: Before we even start the AI analysis, we verify that you have available scans remaining.

Analysis Runs: The AI processes your plant photo and generates a diagnosis.

Success → Count: Only when the diagnosis is complete and the results are saved to your history does your quota decrease by one.

Failure → No Charge: If anything goes wrong — a network timeout, an AI processing error, a server issue — your quota is untouched. You keep your scan.

What counts as a failure?

The AI could not produce a diagnosis (e.g., the image was not a plant).

A network error prevented the result from reaching your phone.

A temporary server issue interrupted the analysis.

The automated recovery system could not complete the scan within its retry window.

In every one of these cases, you are not charged. No exceptions, no fine print.

Why this matters

Your trust is the foundation of PlantCare. Charging you for a failed system attempt would be a bug, not a feature — and we treat it as one. Scan with confidence, knowing every quota point you spend comes with a real, usable diagnosis in return.
